Guess the AI is live.
Registration is over. 392 image pairs submitted. now it's your turn to spot the fakes.
Here's how it works:
- Spend 1 NUM to play a round.
- You will see 2 images, pick which one is AI-generated.
- Get it right, and you may double the reward by proceeding to the next stage.
- 3 stages per round, 3 rounds per day. Every correct pick counts toward the leaderboard.
- The player with the most correct AI picks at the end wins 10,000 NUM.
- If there's multiple top player at the end of the campaign, winner will be picked randomly.
Sounds easy until you're staring at all the images and none of them look fake, or all of them do. Intern went 4 for 6 on the first round and is choosing to call that a win.

It's time for DevUpdate 🛠️🟡
Our developers have been working intensively over the past several weeks. Let's check out the updates
🟡 We shipped a cost-aware routing engine with weighted random choice and priority probing to ensure routing prefers reliable paths while still enabling discovery. We also introduced a new graph-driven path planner, added per-peer protocol adherence that flows into routing decisions, and overhauled our graph cost APIs.
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7926
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7849
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7932
github.com/hoprnet/hopr-api/pull/15
github.com/hoprnet/hopr-api/pull/14
github.com/hoprnet/hopr-api/pull/12
github.com/hoprnet/hopr-api/pull/11
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7898
🟡 Made network probing configurable and highly predictable by wiring the probe interval directly from our config and emitting full peer batches per tick. Additionally, we tightened the edge client's tick cadence to significantly reduce feedback latency.
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7966
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7957
github.com/hoprnet/edge-client/pull/42
🟡 Improved on-chain stability by ensuring auto-funding only triggers when the safe has sufficient balance, preventing stuck channels from reverted transactions. We also introduced per-transaction-type timeout multipliers and raised default gas parameters to better handle network spikes.
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7925
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7929
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7887
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7883
🟡 We completely replaced Prometheus with native OpenTelemetry across our stack to export session and transport metrics while unifying environment configuration. We also standardized JSON OTLP logs with richer custom labels and backported these observability improvements to the release branch.
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7931
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7885
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7879
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7953
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7967
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7891
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7889
🟡 Consolidated our core crates by making hopr-api the canonical source for shared types and introduced a lock-free transport tag allocator. By removing legacy pieces and enforcing minimal dependency features, we made our protocol crates significantly leaner and more composable.
github.com/hoprnet/hopr-api/pull/19
github.com/hoprnet/hopr-api/pull/7
🟡 We hardened our CI and build pipelines by adding Nix-cacheable coverage with Codecov gating and splitting our unit versus integration test coverage. We also stabilized automated workflows on self-hosted runners, improved Docker image auditing, and fixed documentation builds.
github.com/hoprnet/nix-lib/pull/15
github.com/hoprnet/nix-lib/pull/14
github.com/hoprnet/nix-lib/pull/13
github.com/hoprnet/nix-lib/pull/12
🟡 Introduced a new Criterion-based benchmark to measure single-node n-hop transport pipeline throughput across a 12-case matrix. Supported by lighter test stubs, this provides us with a repeatable, automated signal for transport performance directly in CI.
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7956
🟡 Aligned the edge client with our latest internal stack and release baseline. This ensures strict compatibility and provides a much better event-stream cadence for users.
github.com/hoprnet/edge-client/pull/44
🟡 We successfully prepared and finalized stable releases, complete with multi-architecture binaries and updated load-testing baselines. Alongside this, we resolved a failed automated version bump for the 3.0.2 release.
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7922
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7920
github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/7890
